Combinational logic
Digital circuits where outputs depend only on current inputs, without memory or state. Combinational logic processes inputs immediately producing outputs. Multiplexers, decoders, adders, and ALU units are combinational circuits.
Real World
The barcode scanner at a Tesco self-checkout uses combinational logic to instantly decode the pattern of bars into a product number — no memory of previous scans is needed.
